Dominion & Mastery Restored
1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
--- Galatians 4:1-7
Through the fall mankind were brought in bondage under the elements. As mortals men and women would die as the result of one of these elements. The five elements of fire, wind, water, land and time were no longer in harmony with man. The elements were now a force against man. The symphony of man and the elements around him was gone and now he was most vulnerable to the elements. The elements are God's life force on the earth and man was now out harmony with that life force. It is through sonship mankind is brought into fellowship with the elements and that life force. In through fellowship with God as the sons of God are brought into full fellowship with the creation. We will now look at how God has restored in man through sonship the dominion and mastery of the five elements.
Dominion and Mastery of Fire
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
--- Matthew 3:11
22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
--- Daniel 3:22-25
John the Baptist announced that he indeed baptized in water, but that Jesus Christ would baptize in the Holy Spirit and Fire. Through the Holy Spirit we are given the fire from heaven. Through this baptism we enter into the realm of the dominion of the mastery of the five elements. It is not until we become full mature sons of God that we can come into the fulness of it. God in His wisdom gave of types of this restoration of dominion and mastery of the five elements under the old covenant through the prophets and the patriarchs.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego the three Hebrews were commanded by King Nebuchadnezzar to bow down to the graven image he made or they would be put into a fiery furnace. The three men refused to obey the command and Nebuchadnezzar commanded his men to make the fire seven times hotter. The furnace was so hot that when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were cast into it the men who cast them it died from the flames. The three fell into the furnace unharmed. When the King and those around him looked they saw the three Hebrews walking around with a extra person that looked like the son of God. The King being amazed and astonished called for the men to come out of the furnace of fire and when they came out their was not even the scent of fire on them. This was dominion and mastery over the fire element.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
--- 2 Corinthians 4:6
1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
--- Matthew 17:1-3
The fire and light elements are the inheritance of the sons of God. God has placed the fire element in our hearts. Christ face was as the sun, that is fire and His clothes were white as light. He was seen talking to two prophets who exercised dominion over the elements Moses and Elijah. The Father wants us to grow up into fulness of sonship the He use us to walk in dominion over the five elements. Elijah had particular relationship with the element of fire. The call fire down from heaven on several occasions. He called fire down on the sacrifice on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:27-39). He then called fire down twice on two companies of fifty men sent by the King of Syria to constrain he (1 Kings 1:9-15).
Dominion and Mastery of Wind and Air
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
--- Acts 2:1-4
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
--- Mark 4:37-39
The next element the Lord has restored for us to have the dominion of is the wind. The Holy Spirit when He first came to the earth to baptize the believers. When we receive the Holy Spirit we enter into the realm of the wind element. As sons of God we have wind power able to exercise power in the air. One night Jesus and His disciples were in a ship on the sea and great storm of wind caused the waves to beat upon the ship. The disciples became afraid but Jesus was asleep upon a pillow and they awakened Him asking Him to something about the storm. Jesus arose and rebuked the wind and the wind ceased. That was dominion and mastery over the wind and the sea.
Dominion and Mastery of Water and the Seas
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
--- John 4:10
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
--- John 7:38-39
47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered
--- Mark 6:47-51
The disciples were in a ship in the middle of the sea and there was a contrary wind and they were struck. Jesus left land walking on the water of the sea and would have passed them but they saw Him and was afraid, because thought He might be a ghost, but He answered them and came upon the ship and the wind ceased. Jesus also turned water into wine (John 2:1-11). Moses split the Red Sea (Exodus 14:13-31).
Dominion and Mastery of the Earth and Land
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
--- Romans 8:19-22
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
--- Genesis 1:26
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
--- Genesis 2:7
Man has a special bond to the land because he was formed from the dust of the ground. The word "dust" is the Hebrew word aphar which means dust or small particles. The word "ground" is adamah which means soil, land, or ground. God formed man of the dust particles of the ground or land. The word earth is referenced to either mean the total planet or the land mass of the planet. The new testament references the planet as the creation. The planet was placed into bondage as result of Adam and Eve sin. The Holy Spirit revealed to the apostle Paul that the earth will be set free with the manifestation of the sons of God. The more the sons of God mature the more the earth are set free from its bondage.
12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
--- Mark 1112-14, 20-24
Jesus had gone up to the temple and leaving the temple he went to Bethany. The following day He went forth from Bethany to go to the temple in Jerusalem He saw a few afar off with leaves. When He got to the tree there was only leaves and no fruit and Jesus spoke to the tree and told it "no man eat fruit of thee henceforth forever" and disciples heard Him. The next they passed the same fig tree and they saw the tree dried up from the roots and Peter called attention saying "Master, behold, the fig tree which you cursed is withered away". Hearing this Jesus taught them about faith in God and the power of it. Christ them that faith exercises authority and dominion. When Jesus spoke to the fig tree He took dominion and mastery of the elements of land, water and time. The fig tree was rooted and watered from the ground and Jesus sped up the lifetime of the fig tree. When Jesus to the fig tree He spoke to the earth, water and time also. This faith in God is of God and from God and is the Godkind of faith. The sons of God are called to walk in the Godkind of faith.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
--- Luke 17:6
Things of the earth obey whoever has faith as a grain of mustard. Jesus said whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart. The earth and the things of the earth are subject to those who believe and doubt not, but believe the things that they say shall come to pass. The things of earth obey faith. When heaven is obeyed the earth is blessed, but when heaven is disobeyed the earth is cursed. The earth must connect to heaven to receive the blessing. It is the kingdom that transform the earth. It is by being born from above that we receive the power to become the mature sons of God. It is only by abiding in the heavenly realms that we will have authority over the earth. Sons of God live from heaven to earth. That is why Jesus told us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things that is the things you need in life will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). God has given the earth to the children of men therefore men must use faith to bring the power that reign in heaven to the earth.
Dominion and Mastery of Time
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
--- Ephesians 4:7-10
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
--- Colossians 2:16-20
Christ has set up free from the rudiments which means elements of the world. Time and seasons affect mankind in many ways. The fifth element that we can as sons of God exercise dominion and mastery over is time which is operated by the lights in the firmament. The sun determine the days and the moon the months. Joshua demonstrated over the sun and moon the day he commanded the sun and the moon to stand still (Joshua 1013). Jesus told the religious leaders of His day that man was not made for the sabbath but the sabbath for man. Time is made for man not man for time. God is looking for sons to set up and fulfil their destinies. Fully matured sons follow the Spirit of God, not their teachings or their emotions or their feelings. The time has come for the sons of the kingdom to emerge as the dreaded champions of God. Time is waiting to be used for the purpose and glory of God. The sons of God are called to redeem time.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
--- Ephesians 5:15-16
5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
--- Colossians 4:5
