God the Father

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

--- Ephesians 4:4-6

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

--- 1 Corinthians 12:4-6

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

--- 1 Corinthians 8:6

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

--- Ephesians 3:14-15

God the Father is

  • The Father of all

  • Above all

  • Through all

  • In you all

  • Worketh all in all

  • Of Whom are all things and we in Him

  • Of Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named

Jehovah God is Father of all the family that is in heaven and earth.  God is manifested in three persons, as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the Head of Operations, the Son is the Administrator, and the Holy Spirit is the Operator. The work together honoring each others function. The Father is the chief authority, He sits on the greatest and highest throne with greatest power.

Highest Authority

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

--- Matthew 28:16-18

3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

--- 1 Corinthians 11:3

Jesus after His resurrection appeared to the apostles and declared that all authority had been given to Him in heaven and earth, whoever gave Him the authority had to have greater authority to be able to give Him the authority He was given.  It was the Father who gave Him the authority therefore the Father must be greater. When Jesus was approached by the sons of Zebedee and their mother and they requested they would able to sit on it right hand and left hand, Jesus responded that it was not in His power to place anyone on his right or left. He replied that was in His Father's hand.

The Highest Power

26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

--- Matthew 19:26

27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

--- Mark 10:27

27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

--- Luke 18:27

God the Father has the greatest power. He is the highest power in the universe. Ultimate power belongs to Him. He is the almighty the Lord Most High. There nothing that is impossible to Him. Every word that He speaks become law because in every word there His power is in residue. In every word there is a seed for every word becomes law. His thoughts are all powerful able to create whatever God desires, able to do whatever He wants done.

The Highest Provider

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

--- John 3:16

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

--- Romans 8:31-32

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

--- James 1:17

God so loves that He gives, He gave His Son and His Spirit. God in His power and love is the greatest provider. God knows how to give gifts to meet the needs of everyone. God sends gifts from above to the good and the evil. As a Father He desires that we pray that is make our request know to our Almighty Father. As a loving Father He will not override our wills. He will be a Father only to those who want Him as Father although He good to everyone. God wants to be more than just a good neighbor He wants to be the good Father.

The Father of Spirits

5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

--- Hebrews 12:5-9

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

--- John 4:23-24

God is a Spirit and the Father of spirits. God is the Father of all spirits. He is the originator of every spirits. Every spirit came from the Father of spirits. Man is spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). He is a spirit, has a soul, and lives in a body. When Adam ate from the tree He died spiritual and his soul became contaminated and his body became mortal. The Father chastises His children to train their spirits and to save their souls. When we are born again our spirits created anew. Jesus identified the His Father as the husbandman. As the husbandman He does two things.

  1. He takes away every branch (child of God) who does not bear fruit in Christ

  2. He purges every branch (child of God) that they might bring forth more fruit

God the Father through His chastising process prunes or turns the child of God away. It was God the Father that put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was also Him who sent the Son to the Cross.

The Father of Lights

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

--- James 1:18

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

--- 1 John 1:5

God is the Father of Lights with no potential of ever changing He will be the same forever and ever. The word "lights" in the book of James and the word "light" from the book of  First John is the same Greek word phos which means to shine or make manifest. In Him is no darkness at all and never will be. He only created darkness as the abode of those who would choose to turn on Him. God is light and dwells in light and shines light into all who love Him.

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

--- 2 Corinthians 4:6

Father of Glory

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

--- Ephesians 1:17

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ is the Father of glory. The word "glory" is the Greek word doxa which means the manifestation of the glory. The glory of God can be seen and felt. The glory of God is the essence of God. It is the nature and outshining of God. His glory is filled with light because He is light. Glory is the realm of God in the same way humanity is the realm of humans.
